Day 1: Recovery Begins!

Dad Stats:
Most recent temperature:
Most recent blood pressure:
Today's white blood cell count: 2.36

When Dad and I woke up this morning around 8:00 am Dad said he slept better than he had in a while and that he felt better than he did yesterday. The day was off to a good start! We spent the morning eating, walking around the BMT unit, reading James Harriot, and watching Bewitched (the movie). In the afternoon Alex and Todd came to visit with us for a little while. I wish I'd thought to take a picture while they were here! Dad, Todd, and I went for a long walk around the BMT unit. For entertainment this evening Dad and I watched the movie Fly Boys. Dad had seen it before, but wanted to watch it again. I found it a bit violent for my taste. Dad was a trooper and ate all of his meals today despite his new mouth sores and his still somewhat upset tummy. As I type this Dad is sleeping peacefully. It was not a very exciting day today, but it was a pretty good one!

  2. "Not exciting" is good in this situation. Glad Rod again was able to eat and slept well. All good things to hear. Thanks for the report. Hugs!

I'm not surprised the your dad likes the James Harriot books. They are heart-warming and entertaining.

    Keep up the great work!
